Travel Extras are chargeable services that you can add to your booking on SAS operated flights.

General terms & conditions for Travel Extras 1-6

These Terms & Conditions form part of SAS’ General Conditions of Carriage.
Purchased Travel Extras are not cancellable and Travel Extras are not refundable if not used.
You’re will receive a full refund for your Travel Extras when:

  • you cancel your trip within 24 hours after the booking is made (SAS’ 24-hour money-back guarantee). If you book less than 24 hours before departure, you will be refunded for the trip and services until 12 hours before departure.

    Travel Extras purchased after the booking is made (e.g. via My bookings, or at check in) will not be refunded based on this rule.

  • your trip is canceled, or rebooked, due to SAS initiation or if the Travel Extra not delivered by SAS according to these conditions.

  • If you are entitled to a refund, you will be refunded the amount paid for the Travel Extra in question.

  • A request for a refund needs to be completed within 60 days after the last flight in your itinerary. Apply for a refund

  • Travel extras services are not refundable if not used.

  • SAS waives all liability resulting from errors with data systems or similar which prevents or impedes the possibility to purchase Travel Extras. This applies regardless of whether the error lies with SAS or any other party.

  • SAS reserves the right to change the rates, terms and conditions of the Travel Extras at any time prior to purchase with or without notice.

You get the opportunity to pre-select your preferred seating on your SAS operated flight when you travel in SAS Go, Plus and Business.

Additions or exceptions from general terms & conditions

  • When buying this service, you get access to a seating category (Aisle, Window, Middle seat) in the service class specified of your ticket. Note that the selected row may be slightly changed (e.g. 3A -> 7A) at any time with no right to refund.

  • If you reebok your ticket, the pre-selected seat is transferable to a new SAS flight if the routing is the same (same origin, destination and transfer airport) and the seating category is unchanged.

  • If the ticket is canceled by you, the fee for your pre-selected seat is not refunded.
    Note that specific requirements apply for passengers selecting exit row seats where the passenger need to fulfill certain security requirements set out by SAS. When requesting an exit row seat, you will be asked to verify your eligibility. SAS has the sole discretion to determine whether a passenger meets the requirements. If the passenger does not meet these requirements, they will be re-assigned, and the amount paid will not be refunded.

Additions or exceptions from general terms & conditions

If you want to purchase an Extra Seat, here is what you need to know.

  • You can only buy the seat(s) right next to your seat and no more than two Extra Seats.

  • If you rebook or cancel your travel, the fee for the Extra Seat is not refundable. The Extra Seat is not transferable to a new flight if you rebook your ticket.

  • In case of any irregularity, such as but not limited to aircraft change, delays or cancellations, either on your flight or on another flight where passengers need to be rebooked to your flight, the Extra Seat(s) might be lost due to safety or operational reasons. In such cases you are entitled to a refund representing the amount paid for the Extra Seat(s).

  • Please note that passengers are always prioritized over Extra Seat(s)
    Applications for refunds must be made no later than two (2) months from the original date of travel.

You get the opportunity to add extra checked baggage for your flight beyond what is included in your ticket and your EuroBonus tier.

Additions or exceptions from general terms & conditions

  • If you reebok your ticket, the extra baggage is transferable to a new SAS flight if the Origin and Destination are the same.

  • If the ticket is canceled by you, the fee for your extra baggage will only be refunded if the ticket is refundable (i.e. no refund for a non-refundable ticket).

  • You are not entitled to a refund of the fee for the extra baggage if your baggage is delayed or damaged or lost.

You get the opportunity to pre-order meals which will be served during the flight when you travel in SAS Go within Scandinavia and Europe.

Additions or exceptions from general terms & conditions

  • If you reebok your ticket, the pre-ordered meal is not transferable to a new SAS flight. If the ticket is canceled by you, the fee for your pre-ordered meal is not refunded.

  • If a meal is pre-ordered and an upgrade is granted through bidding, the ordinary meal service of the new service class will be served instead of the pre-ordered meal. The pre-order meal will not be refunded.

  • If a meal is pre-ordered, late upgrade at check-in or gate is not possible.

You get the opportunity to visit SAS’ business lounges to eat, work or relax on your departure or transit airport when you travel in SAS Go.

  • If you reebok your ticket, the lounge access is not transferable to a new SAS flight. If the ticket is canceled by you, the fee for your lounge access is not refunded.

You get the opportunity to reduce your environmental impact by replacing fossil fuel with biofuel.

SAS has taken out insolvency protection with Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB.

Travellers may contact this entity, or where applicable, the competent authority Kammarkollegiet, Birger Jarlsgatan 16, 114 34 Stockholm,
08-700 08 00, registratur@kammarkollegiet.se
if the services are denied because of SAS insolvency.

Note: This insolvency protection does not cover contracts with parties other than SAS, which can be performed despite SAS insolvency.
